one big sheet · sixteen tiny pages

fold a 16-page mini

it's the one-sheet mini's bigger sibling. print one A3 sheet, one side, then crease a 4×4 grid, make a few inside cuts, and collapse it into a little booklet. no glue, no staples.

  1. print it

send your pdf to the printer on one A3 sheet, one side, actual size. no scaling. tabloid or letter work too, they just make a smaller book.

  2. crease the grid

fold the sheet in half top-to-bottom, then in half again. open up, turn it, and do the same side-to-side. crease everything hard and open flat: sixteen little boxes.

  3. cut the slits

snip only the red interior lines printed faintly on your sheet: a short cut down the middle, two across the center panels, and two into the outer edges. the cuts never reach a corner, so the sheet stays in one piece.

  4. fold in half

fold the whole sheet in half the long way, printing facing out. the middle cut opens into a slot along the fold.

  5. collapse it

hold the two far ends and push them toward each other so the cut panels swing out and the sheet gathers into a fat plus shape.

  6. wrap the spine

walk the panels around in number order — page one is the cover — and press the whole stack flat. sixteen pages, one sheet, zero staples.
