Making zines
Do I need an account to make a zine?
No. You can start laying out a zine in your browser right away. Your work is saved to your device, and when you sign up we claim it into your account so you don't lose it. You do need an account to publish, or to save a zine to your shelf.
What does it cost to make zines?
Making and exporting zines is free. There's no monthly fee.
What formats can I export?
Print-ready PDFs in four layouts: a print-shop sequential PDF, a home 2-up duplex booklet, the classic 8-page fold-and-cut mini, and its 16-page single-sheet sibling. The fold, 16-page fold, booklet, and print guides walk through each one.
Reading zines
What do readers get?
Every published issue is free. Anyone can read the whole thing online in the browser, and a signed-in reader can save it to their shelf and download the print-ready PDF to fold at home.
Can readers look before opening it?
Yes, if the creator allows it. A listing can show a look-inside preview — the cover and first spread — and the rest opens once you pull the free issue onto your shelf. Creators can also share a private link that opens the full read.
